Edwardian gentleman's Gaff-rigged day -boat in
very original condition.
This
Hamble One Design built in 1915 by Hamble River,
Luke & Co. Ltd is believed to be one of only
three in existence. The other two, 'Florence'
& 'Jessie' are currently owned by the Jersey
Heritage Trust.
Vixen
is 18' LOA, - decked with a long keel and a
draft of 3'. She is manufactured of Oregon pine
on Canadian timbers with Oak floors and Canadian
Elm Garboards. She also has a Vire 7 inboard
petrol engine. A real 'time-warp' yacht,
complete with wooden blocks and
spars.
