Lay Up

We have a mobile crane for lifting craft ashore up to 40’ LOA and 9 tons weight, and Winter Lay up facilities for approximately 120 yachts.   Our slipway caters for vessels up to 45’ LOA and 20 tons weight.   Draft on the quay is limited to an optimum of 1.8 metres / 6’0” while on the slipway the maximum is 1.6 metres / 5’3” depending on keel profile.  Please contact us for further information.

Between May and October we offer storage for dinghies and sports boats on trailers at seasonal rates which include all slipway launching charges.

To:       Crane out, high pressure clean the bottom of the hull and block off 

            in yard or load on transport                                                                        £ 5.50 per foot

To:       Re-launch from yard or off trailer/transport                                                 £ 5.50 per foot

            Bilge keel vessels as above ~ per each way.                                               £ 4.75 per foot

To:       Storage either yard  per foot OAL length per week.                                    £ 1.10 per foot

Boats on trailers used throughout year per foot O.A.L per week.                    £1.10 per foot per week

Collect/deliver to Keyhaven mooring each way or Pilotage from river mouth.      £ 28.00

Mutli-hull boats by arrangement through office.

Masts are not required to be un-stepped unless considered dangerous due to keel configuration.

Masts are un-stepped and re-stepped at an hourly rate ~ MINIMUM CHARGE £85.00.

Owners and their permanent crew may work on their boat in the yard.

If assistance is required we have a qualified team of Shipwrights, Marine Engineers,

Marine Painters, Sign Writers, Riggers and Mooring experts.

*NO ~ OUTSIDE CONTRACTORS OR PERSONNEL may be employed to work either Inside or outside

of the boat in either yard without prior consent of the yard.Estimates can be provided on request through the

office for any yard services required.

* NO ~ Owners or crew are allowed to un-step or re-step masts in either yard

           ~ All sails must be taken off rig as soon as boat is ashore.

* NO owners or crew must alter the shores/boat props in any way ~ Assistance will be given if required.

When boats are launched, on condition that owners provide a key, we will check for ingress of water. 

If owners require us to specifically check their seacocks, logs, stern gear etc this will be done by an engineer

and will be subject to a charge at an hourly rate payable in advance.

We regret we are unable to loan tools.  

Electricity is available in the yard ~ own lead is required.

Owners are requested to keep yard free from rubbish and markings from antifouling/paint or spillage and remove

any old rubbish, old equipment etc.

The disposal by the yard of any rubbish will be charged for, as this now is VERY expensive.

THE LAUNCH DATE MUST BE CONFIRMED AT LEAST 14 DAYS PRIOR TO LAUNCHING

ALL ACCOUNTS MUST CLEARED PRIOR TO THE VESSEL LEAVING THE YARD – (NO CASH NO SPLASH).
